Toddler Dies In Tragic Accident
Two days ago, a 1-year old toddler, Wyatt Steed, died when he fell into a hole outside a quadplex at Greenfields Apartments east of Ocala, FL. The toddler had apparently wandered from his guardian as they walked around outside.
When deputies arrived, they found the toddler in a hole approximately 23″ x 30″ behind the quadplex next door at 5420 SE 29th Place. The hole was of undetermined depth and contained water. It was later learned a neighbor had been told sewer repair was taking place and that the hole had been previously reported.
The apartment complex has a duty to keep it’s grounds safe. Failure to do so creates Premise Liability. Depending on who was actually doing the sewer repair, there could be additional liability created by the repair company.
I am willing to discuss premise liability (free of charge) resulting in injury or death at a time convenient to you. Call me.
